Life can sometimes feel overwhelming, whether you're struggling with anxiety, low mood, stress, relationship difficulties, grief, trauma or simply feeling stuck. Individual counselling offers a safe, confidential and non-judgemental space where you can talk openly, explore your thoughts and emotions, and begin to understand the patterns that may be holding you back.

Hypnotherapy is a gentle yet effective therapy that works with the subconscious mind to help create positive and lasting change. Whether you're struggling with anxiety, stress, low confidence, fears and phobias, unwanted habits, smoking, emotional blocks or weight management, hypnotherapy can help you understand what's driving these patterns and support you in moving forward.

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) is an evidence-based therapy that helps the brain process distressing memories that may be keeping you stuck. It can be highly effective for trauma, PTSD, anxiety, phobias and other experiences that continue to affect your daily life. By helping the brain reprocess these memories, EMDR can reduce their emotional impact, allowing you to move forward with greater confidence and emotional freedom.

Growing up isn't always easy. Children and young people can experience anxiety, low self-esteem, school pressures, friendship difficulties, family changes, grief, trauma and overwhelming emotions that can be difficult to express. Therapy provides a safe, supportive and confidential space where they can explore their thoughts and feelings in a way that feels comfortable for them. Together, we help them build confidence, develop healthy coping strategies and improve their emotional wellbeing so they can better navigate life's challenges.

I haven’t always been a therapist, my professional background began in finance within the construction industry, until life led me in a different direction — one that ultimately helped me discover my true calling so to speak.
My journey into therapy began through personal experience. Many years ago, hypnotherapy supported me during a difficult period in my life. Experiencing first-hand how powerful therapeutic work can be sparked a deep interest in understanding the process more fully. When I later came across training in hypnotherapy, I felt drawn to it and decided to take that step and then bagan my journey into my counselling training, qualifications and experience.
This initial training opened the door to further learning and development, leading me to train as a pluralistic psychotherapeutic counsellor. This approach allows me to work flexibly, drawing on different therapeutic methods to suit each individual client, rather than applying a one-size-fits-all model.
Having been on the other side of the therapy room myself, I truly understand how daunting, overwhelming, or even frightening it can feel to reach out for support. That lived experience informs how I work — with empathy, patience, and respect for your pace and your story.
At the heart of my work are a set of core values that guide how I support my clients:
These values shape every aspect of my practice and help ensure therapy feels supportive, respectful, and empowering.
I believe strongly in the importance of therapists engaging in their own personal therapy. I continue to do so, as it helps me maintain self-awareness, emotional insight, and ethical practice. This ongoing work allows me to show up fully for my clients and hold their experiences with care and clarity.
Alongside personal therapy, I am committed to continual professional development, ensuring that my skills and knowledge remain current and evidence-based.
