Some people prefer talk through there feelings and traumas to enable them to process, recover and heal. Every client and every session can differ in experience as their journey is unique to them. Often clients have said how relaxed they are, like they have had a good nights sleep. Some climets report a sense of overwhelimg calm, like a massage for the mind as you are ble to switch off from the outside world and truly relax in the therapy room.
Hypnotherapy is successful in many areas, from helping people to stop smoking, pain relief or to aid weight loss it can also help with a lot of emotional issues as depression, anxiety, overcoing trauma, PTSD, increasing confidence and self esteem, overcoming fears and phobias in addition to many other issues that people be struggling with.
Though the therapist is putting you into a deep relaxed state where they are able to talk to your subconscious mind, your conscious mind at all times is still in control and will be keeping you safe. If your conscious mind does not want to take on the suggestions that the therapist makes or if they make suggestions that go against your moral codes then they will not be taken in by the conscious mind. You are in control of the whole experience. We can not make ou do anything you do not want to do.

Though Hypnotherpay is seen as quick therapy it can take 1-6 session depending on the issue and the underlying symptoms. Your therapist will go through this with you at your consultation and come up with a treatment plan. Everyones journey and life experiences are different though, some may require less and some may require more.
Hypnotherapy works by the therapist taking you on a relaxed journey to where you enter a relaxed state, almost a sleep type state. You will be aware of my voice, though may find you drift in and out of awareness. The levelks of relaxtion are different, some people ebter a light statem, some a medium and some a deep. From here they will make powerful suggestions for postive change and help guide you to finding resolutions to any issues or problems that you wish to overcome. On your first session you may only go into a light state as the conscious mind keeps its guard up, in time your conscious and subconscious learns to trust me and that I have your best interest at heart.
Hypnotherapy is very successful, however it's success is very much dependant on you and yourmotivation to change as much as it does on the skill of the hynotherapist. If you are really motivated and open minded to change and absorb yourself in the journey you will reap the benefits.
